Continuing work on the sculpture of Tara Drolma!  I've worked some more on the hand mostly on the thumb and forefinger area where much of the focus of intent is. Generally as I've mentioned , the surface detail isn't as important but some of it helps in establishing the forms and planes as with the thumbnail here.

I have more work to do where the cloth comes up from near the thumb so that it appears more natural. With more modelling though it will look just fine!




On this closeup we can see both the care and the tenacity as well as  how the cloth rises to either side of the thumbs grasp as it generally does when pulled. I haven't developed the folds yet but have made indications of them.





This picture is a bit blurry!  Still though it shows the courage and firmness of purpose of she who  overcame every obstacle to bringing benefit to beings!
