Through My Eyes
*
With all the work in the Grove and our outreach events I haven't had a chance to work much on the sculpture of Tara Drolma. I thought I'd tell about some of the things I've been thinking about in between this and that. I've some equipment works just fine for showing Tibetan movies but in daylight the projector doesn't show up properly on the screen. I'm thinking of creating a booth of sorts to go over the screen to shade it! I'm not sure how wide it would need to be so I'll have to try a few different shapes. The smaller the better so there's not a lot more to lug around. Between the projector, the DVD player, the generator, the booth and the screen there will be a lot of stuff. I've set up the webcounter to check for just the pages for a Windhorse Project. It actually gets a few hundred visits a month or so, mostly between three and six hundred. In the meantime things are going just fine in spite of tough moments. As Shantideva says,
Like a star an optical illusion or a flame
like a dewdrop or a bubble
Like a dream, a flash of lightening, or a cloud
so should one consider all compounded things
In a simple way it implies doing the best we can and not worrying too much about things because everything only seems to be rather than actually is.
